The Medela Special Needs Feeder has gained mainstream acceptance as an excellent product for babies moving from breast to bottle or helping in situations where bottle feeding is proving really difficult.

The action required to get milk from the Special Needs teat is much closer to breastfeeding than that of a standard bottle and the specially designed valve and teat allow you to adjust milk flow to suit your baby's sucking strength and appetite and the one-way valve prevents overwhelming you baby.

The Haberman Feeder is ideal for babies with nursing difficulties, particularly children with cleft lip/palate, weak babies or babies with Down's syndrome or other neurological difficulties.

It's also a very popular product amongst parents with very colicky babies as a "lifesaver" because its design means that air must be expelled from the teat before you can fill it and give milk to your baby.
